Bandung, 12 April 2024 – Ratusan mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Bandung (Polban) bergotong-royong dalam kegiatan One Day Clean Up (ODCU) yang berkolaborasi dengan Metagama. Acara ini, diinisiasi oleh BEM Kema POLBAN dan Kegiatan Metagama, bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan rasa kepedulian terhadap kebersihan lingkungan kampus.
Pada Rabu, 12 April 2024, mulai pukul 07.00 hingga 11.00 WIB, ratusan mahasiswa aktif D4 tingkat 1, anggota BEM Departemen Sosial Masyarakat dan Panitia Kegiatan Metagama berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan bersih-bersih ini. Mereka menyisir setiap sudut kampus Polban, mengumpulkan sampah, dan membersihkan fasilitas umum yang ada.
Minimnya rasa peduli mahasiswa terhadap kebersihan area kampus menjadi faktor utama dilaksanakannya kolaborasi antara ODCU dan Metagama. “Kami berharap kegiatan ini bisa membentuk karakter mahasiswa yang peduli terhadap kebersihan lingkungan,” ujar Ketua Pelaksana Kegiatan ODCU, Nabila Dwi.
Pelaksanaan ODCU x Metagama dimulai dengan perencanaan panitia yang bertanggung jawab atas berbagai aspek kegiatan. Lokasi pembersihan ditentukan sebelumnya untuk memastikan efektivitas kegiatan. Alat-alat kebersihan seperti sapu, pengki, dan kantong sampah disiapkan dengan matang. Peserta kemudian dikelompokkan berdasarkan area pembersihan yang telah ditetapkan.
“Semangat gotong royong ini harus terus kita jaga dan kembangkan,” kata Penanggung Jawab Kegiatan ODCU, Hasya Nur Silmi. “Dengan kolaborasi ini, kita berharap mahasiswa dapat lebih peduli terhadap lingkungan sekitar mereka.”
Kegiatan ini diakhiri dengan evaluasi singkat dan penyampaian pesan-pesan penting mengenai kebersihan lingkungan. Mahasiswa yang berpartisipasi berharap kegiatan ini tidak hanya menjadi acara tahunan, tetapi juga menjadi kebiasaan yang terus dijaga.
Salwa Malika, Ketua Divisi Lingkungan, Departemen Sosial Masyarakat, BEM Kema Polban, menambahkan, “Selain kampus jadi bersih, itu juga akan menimbulkan kesadaran bagi mahasiswa, ~oh ternyata buang sampah pada tempatnya lebih nggak capek daripada harus mungutin sampah yang berserakan~.”
Dengan adanya kegiatan ODCU x Metagama, diharapkan mahasiswa POLBAN semakin sadar akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dan terus berkontribusi aktif dalam menciptakan lingkungan kampus yang bersih dan nyaman.
